There are three versions of this gun cabinet all of which have the same build and design but vary in the amount of guns that can be stored.

It has a sleek design and appealing appearance and easy to place this gun safe in any room of the house. Some people have been able to secure it snugly in their closet. Out of the way and harder to pry into.
It is made of 7/8 inches of thick steel which is a good enough thickness for providing enough security to protect your firearms from children or casual thieves. It is also surprisingly light at around 80 pounds when empty which is great for anyone who moves homes a lot and for those who have a more permanent base there is the option to secure the cabinet.
In the back area of the gun safe there are pre-drilled holes that can be used for mounting the unit against a wall. This is advisable for creating a more secure base for your guns.
It has a good interior size with a maximum 12 long gun capacity. There are shelves in the unit that can be adjusted for holding various sized items such as stacked boxes of shells, clips and even handguns. If you have really large guns the shelves can even be removed entirely for more space.
As a nice little feature there is adhesive-backed foam provided for the floor and all the interior walls. A great idea for keeping your guns safe from scratching or other damage if dropped inside the gun cabinet.
The foam is well sized and left unattached leaving you to decide where or if you want to place them. If you do decide to use the foam it is a simple process of removing the adhesive backing and then placing the foam where you want it.
On the inside of the door itself there are three plastic bins which are perfect for storing the smaller items that you may have.
HOMAK HS30003630 Gun Cabinet Locking Mechanism
This long gun cabinet works on a 4 point locking system meaning it is locked at four points on the door. The tubular locking mechanism is operated by two keys that need to be used to unlock and lock the safe.
This 2 key system certainly adds to the security of the overall unit and most definitely keeps a thief busy trying to drill out two locks. However, you must take into consideration that with two keys it will take you longer to get into the safe yourself and so this isn’t the ideal unit if your main priority is to get to your guns fast.
In that sort of scenario I would look at buying an additional fast opening handgun safe that can be kept secure nearby in case you need fast access to your gun.
For those of you who won’t be in any rush to get to their guns then the 2 key system will suit you fine. Just make sure you put the keys in a safe place. Both keys have rubber grips on them, which make them easier to handle and easier to find the in the dark.

All three models of this Homak HS30003630 are a really good choice for basic long gun security and organized storage.
As people have stated this is not really a safe but more of a tough gun cabinet and as long as your priorities are not high security and protection from fire, then you can’t really go wrong with this unit.
It’s a good size, all models can hold a fair amount of guns with room for accessories and the interior is padded.
It has a good locking mechanism, although not designed for speed, and the walls are thick enough to keep a burglar busy.
