The Stack-On QAS-1304 small safe is the perfect product for storing your handguns or any other small important items. It measures 9 7/8 x 13 x 4 1/4 and only weighs 12.2 lbs. Small pistols can be secured away from prying hands and most importantly away from curious kids.  It has some basic features such as a removable mounting plate and pre-drilled holes for mounting. The safe even meets requirements of the California Penal Code Section 12088 so it is approved as a firearms safety device by the California DOJ.

Stack-On QAS-1304 Has A Removable Mounting Plate

This gun safe comes with a removable mounting plate. This means you can bring the safe anywhere and you can mount it anywhere. You can mount the safe on the floor, secure it inside a drawer, secure it to a shelf and you can even attach it in the trunk of your car.

The plate can be moved only by accessing a bolt that is found inside the safe. This means you will need to have the correct combination to open the safe. Without this it would be impossible to detach the safe from its secured position. Great for you, not so great for a casual thief.

QAS-1304 Has A Pry Resistant Door

With this small safe you don’t have to worry about anyone easily prying open the door to get to your gun or other items. The product comes with a steel door that is pry resistant so you can rest assured that the door will be kept locked as long as you keep the combinations to yourself and you put the override key in a safe place.

Basically the space between the door and its frame is so accurately minute that it would be very difficult to get any kind of tool in that gap to pry the door open. Having said that, because the safe is so small and light if you do not secure it somewhere then there is every chance that a thief may walk off with the whole unit. The mounting plate is there for good reason so I would advise you to use it.

Stack-On QAS-1304 Electronic Lock With Override Key

This safe is equipped with an electronic lock. It is easily programmable with a code of your choice. If for any reason, you have problems opening your safe using the electronic lock, you can use the override key. Make sure to keep your key safe and remember where you keep them so you can use it during emergency situations.

Time Out After 3 Incorrect Combinations

These small safes are programmed so well that if you put in an incorrect combination 3 times, it locks you out and you will have to wait 30 seconds before you can put in a combination again.

And if you incorrectly put in another combination 3 times after that, there is another time out of 5 minutes. So this means, anybody who is attempting to open your safe without permission will have a hard time doing so.
